i’ve landed in seattle and not left my house aside from to go to the grocery store for about a month now. what a time to be alive, what a time to move cross-country.

i’ve signed up for this online “school”/community of sorts, now now, and it’s been keeping me as close to sane as anyone can remain these days. there are zoom calls and writing prompts and its been a really beautiful opportunity to make some human connections in this bizarro season.

one of the “teachers” is photographer yan palmer and if you’re not familiar with her work, i invite you to take this opportunity to familiarize yourself. her podcast will move your soul almost as much as her photos.

in addition to now, now, she co-teaches a marketing course specifically for creatives, and while perusing the website a few weeks back, i stumbled across this quiz and was immediately intrigued. aren’t quizzes a buzzfeed thing? what am i, a college freshman procrastinating? nonetheless, i proceeded.

i don’t know about you, but my greatest challenge when i’m feeling blocked creatively is typically getting past the question -

what exactly am i doing here?

enter - the artistic motivation quiz. the only internet quiz that has ever left me feeling more aligned and inspired than i was before i took it. it feels like the opposite of procrastinating. go take it! have some fun. live a little.

i’m a mystic - through and through. 🔮
